Registration
Desk
The registration desk is located in the Administration
Building, near the conference room A104 and will be
open

Conference Timetable
The conference will start on Monday 12 May at 9:00 followed by the
Opening Plenary Session. The conference will end on Wednesday 14 May at
18:15.
On Wednesday 14 May the conference programme will be focused on the
importance of developing enabling e-infrastructures and virtual
organization services to support applications that anticipate manage or
mitigate crisis situations and other problems related to environment
and security issues. Participants may register for this conference day
only. An opening session for this special day programme is schedule for
Wednesday 14 May at 9:45 followed by an invited speech.
On Thursday 15 May two post-conference tutorials will be offered to the
conference participants. You need to register for the tutorials
although the registration fee will be waived for participants
registered for the three days of the conference. Registration for
tutorials only is also possible. The tutorials run between 9:00 and
13:00 (half-day tutorial) and 9:00 and 17:00 (full-day tutorial).
Conference
Programme
The conference is organized around scientific sessions initiated by
invited lectures, followed by contributed papers. All papers selected
for the conference were submitted to prior review.
Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) sessions will be held on Monday and Tuesday.
These sessions are open to all conference attendees.
Presentations on the CYCLOPS Project will be included in the conference
programme. An Opening Session for the CYCLOPS Project will be held on
Wednesday morning.
A poster display area will be located in front the Auditorium where the
plenary sessions are held. The posters accepted for the conference will
be on display for the entire period of the event (12-14 May).
Presenters will be available in the poster display area for questions
and discussion between 17:00 and 17:40 on Tuesday 13 May.
Exhibits will be offered throughout the conference, in the exhibition
area, between rooms A104 and B032. See Exhibition

Lunches
and Coffee Breaks
Lunches and coffee breaks are included in the conference registration
fee for all participants, including participants that register only for
the conference Wednesday programme (14 May) or tutorials.
Coffee breaks will be served at the ground floor bellow the Auditorium
A101. Lunches will be served at the Faculty Restaurant.
Social
Events
Social events include the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner.
The participant registration fee for the three days of the conference
includes the conference reception and the conference banquet. The
student registration fee includes the conference reception. No
pre-registration is required.
Tickets for the conference banquet will be on sale at the Registration
Desk for accompanying persons and students.
Some excursions to visit the city and surroundings are also organized.

Network
Facilities
Wireless LAN will be available in the building where the conference is
being held. Eduroam
users have no need to
configure the wireless network connection. Other users may ask for
information at the Registration Desk.
Transport
during the Conference
No special transportation is provided as public transportation is
available. See Venue and City Information for options.
A conference bus will be available for transportation between the
Engineering Faculty and Casa Primo Madeira, where the Welcome Reception
will take place, as well as from this location to the conference
hotels. For the Conference Dinner a bus will be available between the
Engineering Faculty and the conference hotels and from those to Caves
Taylor’s and return.
Car
Parking
For participants that arrive by car,
some car parking places will be
available at the Engineering Faculty.
