The Conference Dinner will be held at a famous port wine cellar:
Taylor’s cellars. Taylor’s is one of the oldest of
the port wine companies. Located in Vila Nova de Gaia, overlooking the
River Douro, Taylor’s offers the visitant an excellent
opportunity to visit their cellars and to learn about the secrets of
port wine.

Cultural Porto – Half

Departure
from Hotel for a cultural visit to Porto. Visit visit to the
Stock Exchange Palace, an imposing building of the 19th century and
famous for its marvellous “Moorish Hall” a
reproduction of the Alhambra
Palace and to St. Francis Church built on the 13th century in gothic
style and famous for its superb interior in baroque style. The tour
will proceed to Foz, the mouth of the Douro River, passing through the
Passeio Alegre Garden and of S. João da Foz Castle in
direction to the
Serralves Foundation – is a European cultural institution.
Located in
the heart of Porto, the Serralves Foundation boasts a unique estate,
comprised of a classified 1930’s mansion and a new Museum of
Contemporary Art. The Foundation has many services destined to the
public. Among them, a bookshop specialized in art and a store in the
Contemporaneous Art Museum. Free time to visit Serralves Park and tea
in the Tea House. Return to the Hotel.

Porto Panoramic City Tour with
Cruise - Half Day

Departure
for a panoramic tour which will give you a general idea of
Oporto, of its historical and modern quarters and its cultural and
social aspects. The tour will pass through the most important monuments
of the city such as the Stock Exchange Palace, S. Francis Church, Tower
of Clérigos, Boavista Avenue (modern area of town) and
Castelo do Queijo – the 17th century Fortress São
Francisco Xavier. The tour will stop in Ribeira Quarter, the centre of
“Porto World Heritage” where people will have the
possibility of strolling around before boarding in the Ribeira Quay,
for 1 hour cruise in the Douro River. Return to the Hotel.
